Feasibility
Objective
This phase of the project development process tests some of the assumptions made during the conceptualization of a project and it is determined under what circumstances a proposed project is feasible.
Process
The information developed during the conceptualization phase is a point of departure for the analysis of feasibility. In addition, the project proponent/user, with the assistance of the facility support offices, must create a room list. One or more professional consultants are usually hired to examine the feasibility of a project.
Each facility support office further researches the possible issues which may affect the project and a specific plan for overcoming any difficulties is defined.

Product
An expanded version of the project fact sheet, first developed during the project conceptualization phase, results from the feasibility process. Materials which are now added are a strategy for funding, a room list for the facility, a schematic design and perhaps other descriptive graphic material, and a more reliable project cost estimate. If there are related projects which must be accomplished to make the proposed project possible, then descriptions of these are completed.
