Where can I park at F&S?
Free visitor parking spaces are provided in the lot adjacent to the Physical Plant Service Building (PPSB), and meters are available near most major F&S locations. Additionally, other transportation options are possible as outlined below.

Parking Options by Location

Physical Plant Service Building (1501 S. Oak Street)
A limited number of visitor spaces are available next to Lot E23, adjacent to the south side of PPSB. Meter parking is also available along S. Oak Street and in Lot E14, across the street from PPSB.

Garage & Car Pool/Stores & Receiving (1701 S. Oak Street)
Parking meters can be found in the northwest corner and along the western side of Lot E14.

Abbott Power Plant (1117 S. Oak Street)
Metered spaces can be found along S. Oak Street to the south of the plant or on Gregory Drive to the east.

Waste Transfer and Material Recovery Facility (10 St. Mary’s Road)
No metered or visitor spaces are available at Waste Transfer Station. To visit the facility contact recycling@illinois.edu, 217-333-4336

Other Transportation Options

Public Transportation
The main F&S locations are serviced by various bus routes. The 1 Yellow, 10 Gold, and 14 Navy have stops at the corner of Oak Street and Kirby Avenue and the corner of Oak and St. Mary’s Road. The 9A and 9B Brown both stop at Oak and St. Mary’s as well. Visitors can also reach Abbott Power Plant by taking the 4 Blue to the corner of Oak and Stadium Drive. Bicycles
Bicycle racks are located near most F&S buildings as well: near the visitor parking spaces south of PPSB, on the southeast corner of S.Oak Street and Kirby Avenue, on the southwest corner of S. Oak Sreet and Gregory Drive, and on the east side of S. Oak Street, across from the power plant.

Motorcycles
Motorcycle lots are available for valid permit holders in nearby Lots E14, E23, E26, E32 and on Gregory Drive, near the corner of S. Oak Street. Please refer to the map for more detail on these locations.
