Code Compliance
Accessibility
CCC&FS is responsible for reviewing construction and renovation projects for compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Illinois Accessibility Code (IAC). The unit also provides accessibility consultations to the campus to resolve access issues. We work closely with Disability Resources and Educational Services (DRES) and other campus units to find access solutions for faculty, staff, students and visitors.
Remodeling
Even small projects are subject to accessibility requirements and should be reviewed by Campus Code Compliance & Fire Safety.
Event Accessibility
Departments considering renovations or public events are encouraged to contact CCC&FS to discuss applicable accessibility criteria.
