Engineering Services and Capital Project Management Position Announcements

F&S has announced departmental leadership transitions in the Engineering & Construction Services and Capital Programs divisions.

Hoffman, Kelly JoKelly Jo Hoffmann has been appointed associate director of Engineering & Construction Services, Engineering Services. Hoffmann has more than 20 years of engineering experience in both the public and private sectors. Since arriving at F&S in 2014, she has served as an engineer/planner in the Capital Programs division and handled multiple project delivery methods. Some of her notable accomplishments include planning and coordinating F&S involvement for the Feed Technology Center public-private-partnership (P3) project, managing campus strategic planning goals, and leading efforts to standardize the planning, design, and deliverables on small construction and capital projects. Before joining the university, Hoffmann served as a project engineer at Engineering Resource Associates in Champaign and as an associate structures engineer at Parsons Transportation Group in Jacksonville, Florida.


hasselbring_jonJon Hasselbring
 has been named associate director of Capital Programs, Project Management. He has served in this role in an interim capacity since last July. During this period, Hasselbring has acted as the primary liaison for F&S on campus P3 projects and as the project manager for the Ubben Basketball Practice Complex expansion and Atkins Golf Club renovations. He started at F&S in 2019 as a senior project manager. Before joining the organization, Hasselbring was the director of planning and operations for the Champaign County Forest Preserve District and an associate architect with Linden Group Architects in Orland Park.
