Over the last decade, fall-related citations have been the most issued citation by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Even with the increased attention these accidents have received, falls still accounted for nearly 35 percent of all construction-related fatalities in 2020. To increase awareness of this issue, OSHA, the National Institute for Occupational Safety & Health (NIOSH), and several other regulatory agencies came together to host the National Stand Down to Prevent Falls in Construction.
