COVID-19 Building Signage Removal and Replacement Update

Feb 28, 2022

In Person Classes Face CoveringsF&S staff are presently updating COVID-19 building signage across the Urbana campus. Because of the number of signs posted, this process is expected to last throughout the week as adjustments are made at building entrances and in shared spaces.

Crews will remove or cover up previous signage; please remember that some signage will remain where face coverings are still required, such as healthcare facilities, COVID-19 testing sites, and federally mandated areas. The work also includes installing new notification signs reminding individuals that face coverings are required in classrooms during in-person class time.

F&S asks that you do not attempt to remove signage yourself. Let F&S staff continue to perform these activities. This will help avoid possible damage to the surfaces of walls and doors that may lead to more service requests and costly repairs.

Units may access and share the new classroom sign design from this Box folder. Thanks for helping to remind others of this new requirement and making them aware of the related signage.

F&S appreciates your patience as crews work as quickly as practical to change over signs. For questions or more information, contact Director of Building Maintenance & Grounds Dave Boehm dboehm@illinois.edu, 217-244-5902.
