F&S Executive Director Dr. Mohamed Attalla joined The Solar Podcast, hosted by Tim Montague, to talk about the Illinois Climate Action Plan (iCAP) and renewable energy. New iCAP 2020 goals include production of 140,000 Megawatt Hours per year (MWh) from renewable sources, including 25,000 MWh/year from solar. Once Solar Farm 2.0 is operational, expected by January 2021, the University of Illinois will produce more than 27,000 MWh/year.

"The goals of the iCAP, in general, are ambitious and achievable," said Attalla. "In order to achieve these numbers, you have to think big."
