A significant gas leak occurred near the intersection of Lincoln Avenue and Iowa Street on the east side of the Urbana campus at approximately 10:22 a.m. The leak has been contained, and remaining repairs are expected to be completed by early this afternoon.
Presently, Lincoln Avenue is closed from Ohio Street to the north of Iowa Street as crews perform this urgent work.
