Capital Improvement Projects and Major Street Construction

There will be more than 40 capital improvement projects taking place on the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign campus over the summer.
CHAMPAIGN, IL (May 9, 2014) – There will be more than 40 capital improvement projects taking place on the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign campus over the summer.

Highlights of the capital projects include the completion of the new Electrical and Computer Engineering facility, the start of construction on the Chez Family Foundation Center for Wounded Veterans in Higher Education, the beginning of the Natural History Building renovation, Ikenberry Commons #3 Residence Hall work, upgrades to Huff Hall, and multiple transportation network improvements.

NOTE: Three major campus street projects will be starting immediately following Commencement and extend through the summer months necessitating closures and detours for motorized vehicles, bicyclists, and pedestrians.
