Fume hood testing on campus was delayed this spring because of the statewide stay-at-home order for Illinois residents, which extended through May as part of initial COVID-19 response measures.
Tests are now underway, but a significant number of the fume hoods will be checked outside of the yearly testing period for each unit. Departments should continue to perform daily assessments by observing the flow monitor on the device or using a KimwipeTM in the chemical hood to check for movement.
