Effective July 1, Facilities &Services (F&S) Construction Services department will require project managers* to sign all construction permits immediately upon completion of the final project walk-through, per division of work. This new requirement will help expedite payments to Contractor Services Contractors. A letter explaining these changes was recently sent to the university’s approved contractors.
Additional changes taking effect on July 1 include the following documents being posted to the my.FS Portal website:
- Weekly updates of expenditures against a contractors’ annual standing purchase order
- Request for Proposal No. 1ALR1209 (RFP to facilitate selection process for contractor services)
- The Mandatory Requirements for contractors (Contractors must agree to Mandatory Requirements in order to be awarded a contract under the contractor services program)
In addition, to reduce non-conforming purchases and non-compliance to the RFP, customers must accept their unit’s responsibility and requirements prior to the procurement of contractor services.
